Don't Pack a Pest Campaign rolls out in Virgin Islands This Week

The Don’t Pack a Pest program was rolled out this week in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The cooperating agencies involved in the program include the United States Department of Agriculture, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Here representatives of those agencies and officials of the U.S. Virgin Islands pose with an agriculture detector dog at the Charlotte Amalie Airport, located on St. Thomas. The program helps protect U.S. agriculture from the introduction of invasive species by reminding international travelers to declare agricultural items in luggage. Next stop for the DPAP team: Christiansted, St. Croix.
